God I wish I were sailing again
Oh, yesterdays over my shoulder
So I can’t look backward for too long
There is just too much to see waiting in front of me
And I know now that I juts can’t go wrong.”

Garden Girls
Posted: May 18, 2012 Filed under: Design 1 CommentYesterday I had the distinct pleasure of spending a mother/daughter day in Boston with the Mamacita. Not only was fabulous to spend some QT with my #1 Mom but it was also a pristine 70 degrees and sunny for the first time in what feels like centuries. To ice the cake we got to hang in my old neighborhood of Beacon Hill. I tell you, that perfect slice of the city still holds a big place in my heart. Yesterday it was in all its glory. We were there to tour private Beacon Hill residential gardens. For one day we were allowed behind the brick walls that line the idyllic cobblestone streets. While the gardens were lovely, I must say the flower boxes of Beacon Hill seriously rival these swanky private gardens. Do the Grande Dames of The Hill have an unofficial contest every year to see who can create the most breathtaking sidewalk accessory? I wonder what the prize is. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
Aurthur’s Amazing Tale
Posted: May 7, 2012 Filed under: Wellness, Yoga 1 CommentWhen I tell people what I do for a living, about 35% say the same thing: I am not flexible enough to do yoga. Spend a few minutes and meet Aurthur. He is incredibly inspiring and his story highlights just how powerful this transformational practice can be. Flexibility is clearly not a requirement.
The Boots

The Best Tank Ever
Posted: April 26, 2012 Filed under: Fashion Leave a commentAbout a month ago I was walking in the Back Bay and happened upon the James Pearse Flagship store on Newbury and Arlington. I did a quick double take thinking WHAT? When did this move in??? I quickly scampered but the big cement steps and was suddenly transported to SoCal as I entered the cool, tranquil oasis. The store is clean and fresh, a white backdrop frames large, organic wooden furniture pieces. A million perfect cotton pieces are perfectly lined up, each in only a few key colors. I am majorly smitten. I splurged by picking up a few of his classic, long jersey tanks. I cannot tell you what a life changer these things are. A bit pricey but the fit, the fabric…. oh my. They are long and snug without feeling tight and the straps cover bra straps without adjustment. I have been wearing them non-stop ever since. Under suits, with jeans, NON stop. These puppies will be a staple for years to come no doubt.
